Making your Customized Soap Casting with a Reusable Mold Making Material



Who wants retangular soap when you can have cool shapes? You need your own special design, maybe even many special soap mold designs. With ComposiMold mold making materials, (ComposiMold), you are able to make as many unique molds as you want.

The key to ComposiMold molds for soap casting is chilling the ComposiMold mold prior to pouring in the soap. Place the mold in the freezer for several hours. Pour the soap into the molds and then place the mold and soap back into the freezer to cool it. The ComposiMold has a lower melting point than the soap , but because the soap cools at a faster rate than the ComposiMold heats, the ComposiMold does not melt as long as the soap does not take too long to cool.
The ComposiMold mold making material works by melting. It is melted in the microwave (or double boiler) and solidifies by cooling. When you have made all the soap casts that you want with one mold, it can be remelted to make other molds. Start by making or finding the object that you want to make as a soap mold. This can be a simple rounded shape or a complicated 3-D shape.

Use a PVA (White glue) and water mixture as a mold release. A t-spoon of glue with a cup of water works well.

Soap into your Molds

Once the soap is melted, pour it into your unique soap mold to fill the mold.

Cool the soap in the mold by placing in the refrigerator or freezer.

Peel the mold away from the soap as much as possible so you do not put a lot of pressure on the soap.
